This should actually be on a lighter note since questions should be “en lightening” so I will do my best :-)
Up until I reached about 4 years on this planet I am told I would not talk one word! My mother got really upset not even something sounding like “mmmoom” was to hear. I was taken to a trusted Doc and he examined the 4 year old, result: “she is perfectly well, all ok it seems she just does not want to talk. And the feel good thought he gave my mother for the way home and the years to come …”don’t worry, later on you might whish she would not talk so much !”
As predicted – it happened and I started with questions over questions because, each answer seemed to generate a multiple choice of questions for me. Needless to say – my mother sometimes whished the good old first 4 years back.
Up until today and until the last day I am here I will be driven to ask questions concerning each and every thing I do not understand since I believe, there is no such thing as a “stupid” question. Not answers make me rich but the ability to question because it keeps me awake and alive.
The time we live in now is even more interesting and complex and offers fertile ground for questions. We did our best for decades, to dissect even the “simplest” of tasks to an extend, that we need an “expert” to explain it to us.
We have gone so far, that we see the patients “stomach” but not the person himself anymore.
We are surrounded by “professionals” not being able to talk “simple” language anymore. We have highly educated people in all countries not being able anymore to talk to the toilet cleaner, which is doing a most necessary service, since many of us forgot about that too!. Ever saw the writing in a toilet saying “please leave this place as you like to meet it”? (it’s a bit graphic I know but none the less quite true isn’t it)
This development is either a live question generator or a dumb folder – what is your choice?
